Who doesn't struggle with self-esteem?
Each one of us has some sort of confidence conflict. Maybe you left the house today feeling great and then someone said something that made you second guess yourself. And in a matter of seconds your self-esteem hit rock bottom. Even when you don't show it, our self-esteem can have a dramatic effect on how we view ourselves and ultimately, in the way we interact with people.
When you want to learn something new, for example the art of investing, what is the first step you must take? Incorporate a little bit of learning about investing into each day. 10 minutes a day an you'll soon be a master right? Why don't we treat self-esteem the same way? Embed 10 minutes every morning into understanding your top skills and just being with yourself. This can take the form of morning meditation, daily affirmations, or simply writing a list of the things you love about yourself.
Like everything, it starts with you. Focus on the type of person you want to be today and the communication style you need to convey in order to be that person. Then set up a schedule to practice this everyday. For example, if you decide you want to be more confident. Start every morning with thinking about the traits within yourself that you truly love. Meditate on these traits and then meditate on gratitude. Self-love allows you to know yourself best. Gratitude allows you to remember how much you truly have in your life. Gratitude and self-love together will help you develop an internal, unshakeable confidence in yourself.
Remember, you're the one in control. Hold onto that control as you flow through your day, interacting with different people. Allow yourself to engage and be open with everyone you meet while always maintaining the thoughts of self-love and gratitude you developed in the morning.
The only thing you can control is your inner world. So shape it in whatever way you want so you can put your best self out there.
